Sacred Dunes owner Stephanie Gordon is a firm believer in the integrative healing powers of acupuncture. In fact, she credits this natural healing process for helping her personally overcome the debilitating migraines she endured most of her life.
Stephanie first discovered acupuncture during her early days as a birthing doula while exploring the benefits of acupuncture for a curious prenatal doula client. She found that acupuncture was not painful, and it could effectively treat a wide variety of chronic symptoms both related and unrelated to pregnancy. This powerful insight set Stephanie on the journey to further her education and become a licensed acupuncturist.
Stephanie initially worked as an independent contractor at several different clinics where she applied her knowledge of herbs, nutrition, massage, mindfulness meditation, and exercise to help clients ease their suffering and restore health and well-being. Today, as the founder of Sacred Dunes, Stephanie focuses on integrative health practices that blend Eastern and Western medicine. This method allows her patients to have a similar experience in finding relief from their everyday ailments. Stephanie stresses the ability of acupuncture to serve as either a standalone treatment or an effective companion to a patient’s health care plan.
In addition to running her practice, Stephanie is a member of the Michigan City Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Uptown Arts District Mainstreet Association. She specializes in treating chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, digestive issues, women's health, and oncology.
Stephanie holds bachelor’s degrees in nutrition and education and a master’s degree in traditional Oriental medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago. She is honored that her commitment to safe and integrative medicine has made Sacred Dunes a staple in the Michigan City community.
Evan Gordon
Vice President, Director of Operations
Evan has a plethora of experience in sales, marketing, and business operations. He holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of South Carolina, with an emphasis on advertising and public relations. He was a top performing sales person for multiple Chicago media properties in both the general and Hispanic markets. He was also the National Sales Manager for a leading spanish radio network.
After over 20 years in media sales and management, Evan struck out on his own as a serial entrepreneur founding ten businesses in the digital, marketing and media spaces over a 12-year period. This included running a million dollar marketing campaign, and a Groupon clone startup.
Currently Evan finds great pride in helping his daughter’s business grow and thrive.
Samantha Brodhacker
Creative Director/Office Manager/Wholesale Representative
As Sacred Dunes’ office manager, Samantha ensures the clinic runs smoothly and achieves its mission. In addition to her billing, invoicing, and scheduling responsibilities, Samantha now curates Sacred Dunes apothecary line, an expanding array of merchandise focused on holistic health. She applies her creative gifts to select and purchase a variety of Sacred Dunes CBD products, transdermal salt soaps, medical supplies, and other retail merchandise. She also draws on her artistic background to design labels, signage, and other materials.
Samantha also leads Sacred Dunes’ many initiatives to serve and support the local community. These include scheduling and coordinating community acupuncture services, yoga classes for underserved communities, partnerships with the Chamber of Commerce, and services for veterans.
Samantha is proud to support a talented team of woman entrepreneurs dedicated to serving clients and the community at large. She is inspired by the way Sacred Dunes cares for people in the most holistic way possible. Samantha’s experience with Sacred Dunes has rekindled her personal journey and her passion for helping people live their best lives comfortably.

Sam is a natural-born healer licensed by the State of Indiana. She may be young, but her hands will show you that she’s an old sour. Her mission is to bring inner peace to her community's mind, body, and soul.
Jacquelyn Kindig
Yoga Instructor/Administrative Assistant
Laporte native, Jacquelyn Kindig serves Sacred Dunes as both a yoga instructor and administrative assistant. As a yoga instructor, Jacquelyn is available for public and private group classes, as well as personal one-on-one yoga instruction for increased flexibility and mobility of our patients in clinic.
Jacquelyn discovered yoga to help soothe her sore muscles due to being an avid runner. She eventually was encouraged to pursue yoga as a career. She received her yoga teacher training from Collective Yoga.
In addition to her strong yoga experience, Jacquelyn brings her bubbling personality and infectious smile to Sacred Dunes.
